Physie combines elements of jazz, contemporary, lyrical and cardio. Randwick Physie follows the Australian Physie and Dance Association (APDA) syllabus, where members learn 4 to 6 choreographed routines throughout the year, each with its own specific skill-set. There is a focus on movement, musicality, technique, performance, flexibility and strength.
As a club, Randwick Physie aims to improve the health of girls and women by promoting physical, mental and community health and well-being. Being part of Randwick Physie encourages a healthy relationship with exercise and increases confidence and self-esteem. Our club promotes lifelong friendships whilst also welcoming all new members into an inclusive and supportive environment.
Randwick Physie encourages all Members to participate in competitions throughout the year. Interclubs, Team Competitions, Champion Girl, Champion Lady and our very own Club Day are wonderful experiences for all involved and allow students to perform, grow in confidence and build new long-lasting friendships – and have lots of fun!
GRAND CHAMPION GIRL & LADY
The top three or four placegetters in the Elite sections at Nationals compete to win the title of Grand Champion. Grand is the highest accolade in Physie and Dance, and both Grand Champions perform a solo after their win.
